Hello! Today, I will talk about one of my favourite band, Tenacious D. Tenacious D is an heavy metal and hard rock band. It was formed in 1994 in Los Angeles, California. Jack Black is the lead vocalist and guitarist and Kyle Gass is the lead guitarist and vocalist in the band. They released 2 albums: Tenacious D in 2001 and The Pick of Destiny in 2006. There is also another album that should be released in May 2012.The name of this album will be Rize of the Fenix. I can play many of their songs on guitar.

This week I will present you a music style, the Rock'n Roll.The Rock and Roll is a genre of  music that  evolved in the United States during the late 1940s and early 1950s.It was formed from a combination of African American blues, country, jazz, and gospel music.In the beginning of the Rock and Roll, the piano or saxophone was often the lead instrument, but they were  replaced by guitar in the middle to late 1950s.The classic Rock is usually played with two electric guitars, an electric bass and a drum kit.

The guitar

I will present you a musical instrument that I like to play: the guitar. It is a string instrument usually played with fingers or with a pick. There are two primary families of guitar: acoustic  and electric guitar.

An acoustic guitar has a wood body. The sound is produced by the vibration of the strings and the body is a resonating chamber.

An electric guitar is normally connected to an amplifier. With the amplifier, you can electronically change the tone to get different sounds.

Guitars are recognized as the primary instrument in many genres like blues, bluegrass, country, flamenco, jazz, jota, mariachi, metal, reggae, rock, soul, and many forms of pop.

A good band

Today, I will present you a band that I like.This band is Slipknot.It is an heavy metal band formed in 1995.They are from Des Moines,Iowa.The current members of the band are: Joey Jordison, Shawn Crahan, Craig Jones, Mick Thomson, Corey Taylor, Sid Wilson, Chris Fehn and Jim Root.When they are in show,they wear matching uniforms and they have unique masks.

They released five albums:

1996: Mate.Kill.Feed.Repeat

1999: Slipknot

2001: Iowa

2004: The Subliminal Verses

                                          2008: All Hope is Gone

I will present you one of their best songs.This song won a Grammy award for the best metal performance in 2006.The name of the song is "Before I Forget".

My favorite NFL football team

My favorite NFL football team is the Eagles.They are from Philadelphia.They were founded in 1933 by Burt Bell and Lud Wray.The colors of their uniform  are green, white and silver.This year, the Eagles got an average season.They finished the season with 8 victory and 8 defeat.They won their last game against the Washington Redskins,the final score was 34-10.Unfortunately,they were not able to qualify for the playoffs.

A really good movie!

Two weeks ago, I go see a movie with a friend. The name of this movie is: Immortals. I really liked this movie because there is a lot of action and the story is very interesting. It talks about a bad King named Hyperion who is in search of a very powerful weapon that will destroy humanity. The main character is named Theseus, his mission is to raise an army and fight Hyperion to save the world.
