Hi! Let me present you a band that I like: System of a Down. System of a Down is a Hard Rock band from Southern California. It was formed in 1994. The members are : Serj Tankian (lead vocals, keyboards, rhythm guitar),  Daron Malakian (guitar, vocals), Shavo Odadjian (bass, background vocals) and John Dolmayan (drums).

       They released 5 albums

My family

Hello! Today, I will talk about my family.I am the youngest of my family. I have 2 brothers and 2 sisters. My older brother is Frédéric, he is 26 years old. My other brother is Alexis, he is 22 years old and he is still at school, in a "cégep". My older sister is 26 years old,  her name is Marie-Josée. She is twin with Frédéric. My other sister is Moïra, she is 17 years old and she is in secondary 5. My mother is named Francine, she is 54 years old. My father is named Réjean and he is 58 years old.

My favourite sport

Hello! Today I will talk about my favourite sport, the American football. I like to watch this sport on the TV but I like much more to play this sport. I am in the Balbuzard of Saint-Raymond. Next season, it will be my third season. In my first season, I was O-line. My job was to block the person in front of me to protect the quarterback. In my second season, I was the center. My job was to give the ball to the quarterback and after, to block the person in front of me. I can't wait for the next season!

A good book series

I will present you a book series that a read. The series is named : The Wardstones Chronicles. The author of these books is Joseph Delanay. The principal character of the series is named  Thomas J. Ward. He became the apprentice of John Gregory, an ancient priest who is now exercising the profession of Spook. A spook is someone who hunts creatures like witchs, goblin, ghost, demon and many others bad creatures.

Tenacious D

Hello! Today, I will talk about one of my favourite band, Tenacious D. Tenacious D is an heavy metal and hard rock band. It was formed in 1994 in Los Angeles, California. Jack Black is the lead vocalist and guitarist and Kyle Gass is the lead guitarist and vocalist in the band. They released 2 albums: Tenacious D in 2001 and The Pick of Destiny in 2006. There is also another album that should be released in May 2012.The name of this album will be Rize of the Fenix. I can play many of their songs on guitar.

This week I will present you a music style, the Rock'n Roll.The Rock and Roll is a genre of  music that  evolved in the United States during the late 1940s and early 1950s.It was formed from a combination of African American blues, country, jazz, and gospel music.In the beginning of the Rock and Roll, the piano or saxophone was often the lead instrument, but they were  replaced by guitar in the middle to late 1950s.The classic Rock is usually played with two electric guitars, an electric bass and a drum kit.

The guitar

I will present you a musical instrument that I like to play: the guitar. It is a string instrument usually played with fingers or with a pick. There are two primary families of guitar: acoustic  and electric guitar.

An acoustic guitar has a wood body. The sound is produced by the vibration of the strings and the body is a resonating chamber.

An electric guitar is normally connected to an amplifier. With the amplifier, you can electronically change the tone to get different sounds.

Guitars are recognized as the primary instrument in many genres like blues, bluegrass, country, flamenco, jazz, jota, mariachi, metal, reggae, rock, soul, and many forms of pop.
